Streamers nowadays often pay great attention to their content and appearance whenever they go live. For them, this is the minimum requirement to attract viewers. However, over time, with the diverse tastes of a portion of netizens, more and more lazy streamers have emerged, doing nothing, or even saying nothing on air, but just lying down to sleep, sometimes snoring loudly yet still attracting hundreds, sometimes thousands, even tens of thousands of followers. But “sleeping” is not safe with the platform’s regulations, as exemplified by Edyrin’s case below.
It is known that Edyrin is a quite famous female streamer in South Korea, but not in a very positive way. Previously, she was a streamer on Twitch, but later was banned from the platform after some videos capturing moments of her and her boyfriend naked unexpectedly went viral on air. At that time, Edyrin announced her “retirement” and paused streaming, but then suddenly returned because she admitted she could not refuse the affection of her fans. Currently, Edyrin is streaming on Afreeca TV – a platform also very popular in South Korea.
Moving to a new house, however, the troubles she encountered remained the same. Recently, during a live broadcast, for reasons unknown whether due to a lack of creativity and ideas, Edyrin decided to go to sleep under the blanket while still streaming and announced to the viewers that she would sleep after chatting a bit with the chat channel. It was thought that the number of viewers would drop, but no, even when the streamer was sound asleep, the number of viewers even showed signs of increasing.
But what is noteworthy is that with a sleepwear that is too short, especially the shorts, combined with her awkward sleeping habits, she continually made viewers feel anxious, also worried that she would expose herself live. Of course, with her past, if she violates the rules, Edyrin is entirely at risk of being banned from the livestream platform again. But fortunately, after a long sleep from morning until afternoon, she woke up, said a few words to the viewers, and then ended the livestream without any unfortunate incidents. However, the clip capturing the moment and her awkward sleeping positions have already been recorded and spread rapidly on social media.
Although this may help Edyrin become more famous and known to many people, it also has negative impacts, as she now once again falls under close scrutiny from platform administrators. And if she continues to be lazy, creating content carelessly like this, the risk of Edyrin being “banned” once again is very high.
