Regarding the latest case reported in Hanoi on the afternoon of January 30, the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC) informed that the patient is N. Đ.P. (male, born in 1987; residing in a boarding house at Group 11, Dong Anh Town, Dong Anh District).
Patient P. is a close contact (F1) of patient N.V.M. (40 years old, residing in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) – who works in the same workshop at the factory. The patient was tested for the first time on January 29, with a positive result for SARS-CoV-2 on January 30, conducted by the Hanoi CDC.
Currently, the patient is being isolated and treated at the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital, Facility 2. This is the 4th Covid-19 infection in Hanoi during this outbreak.
Daily, the patient works at Z153 factory (milling section, with about 30 people in the same workshop), and returns to the boarding house at Group 11, Dong Anh Town in the evening. The patient has a history of chronic sore throat for about 10 years. Every week, he returns to his wife’s hometown in Thai Nguyen once (his in-laws live in Pho Yen Town).
At the boarding house in Group 11, Dong Anh, the patient lives alone. The boarding area has only two rooms, with the adjacent room occupied by a couple and their child. Daily interactions occur in the common living area of the boarding house.
The patient felt slight chest pain since January 26; however, there were no symptoms of fever or cough.
