The bulletin from the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported that by 6 PM on January 31, Vietnam had recorded an additional 36 COVID-19 cases, of which 17 cases were transmitted in the community.
Specifically:
17 community transmission cases:
+ Hanoi recorded 04 cases: 02 cases (BN1724-1725), residing in Dong Anh district and Me Linh district, Hanoi, with a history of contact with BN1694. 02 cases (BN1814-1815), residing in Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi, with epidemiological information currently under further investigation.
+ Quang Ninh province recorded 03 patients (BN1726, 1727, 1740), residing in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province; BN1726, 1727 are related cases linked to the outbreak in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province; BN1740 is the child of BN1726.
+ Binh Duong province recorded 01 case (BN1801), residing in Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province, who had close contact with BN1644.
+ Hai Duong province recorded 9 new cases. Among them, 05 cases are in the locked-down area, with epidemiological information currently under further investigation, and 04 cases have been identified from samples taken previously at the outbreak in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province.
19 cases quarantined immediately after entry:
+ Khanh Hoa province recorded 07 cases (BN1735-1739, BN1741-1742) quarantined immediately after entry, Vietnamese citizens from Germany entering Cam Ranh International Airport, Khanh Hoa on flight VN30 on January 28, 2021.
+ Binh Duong province recorded case BN1802, an expert, quarantined immediately after entry, nationality Chinese. The second test result on January 30, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
+ Tien Giang province recorded 02 cases BN1803-1804 quarantined immediately after entry, from France entering Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN10 on January 29, 2021.
– Ba Ria – Vung Tau province recorded 9 cases BN1805-1813 from the USA entering Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN417 on January 29, 2021.
1. Number of cases in Vietnam:
– As of 6 PM on January 31: Vietnam has a total of 931 COVID-19 cases due to domestic transmission, of which the number of new cases from January 27 to now: 238 cases.
– From 6 AM to 6 PM on January 31: 36 new cases, including 19 imported cases quarantined immediately.
2. Number of people in quarantine: The total number of close contacts and entrants from epidemic regions being monitored for health (quarantined): 23,065, including:
– Centrally quarantined at hospitals: 150
– Centrally quarantined at other facilities: 20,336
– Quarantined at home and places of residence: 2,579.
3. Treatment situation: According to the report from the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control:
