Everyone is born with a unique talent, but not only humans; sometimes, animals have them too. Recently, the internet community was amazed by the talent of a pig named Pig Caso (named playfully after the famous painter Picasso). With his painting skills, Pig Caso not only escaped the fate of ending up in a slaughterhouse like many of his peers but also made his owner incredibly rich due to the value of the artworks he creates. It may sound hard to believe, but this is a completely true story.

In 2016, Pig Caso, then about 4 years old, was still lost at a slaughterhouse in South Africa. Fortunately, Pig Caso was rescued by an animal rights activist named Joanne Lefson. Not only did she save Pig Caso’s life, but Lefson also discovered this pig’s innate ability through his love for holding colored markers, creatively producing his own paintings. To date, over the past 500 years, Pig Caso has created more than 400 works and even had his own art exhibition.

According to Joanne, all profits from Pig Caso’s artworks are used to cover daily living expenses, while the remainder is donated to animal rescue groups with the hope that more animals will be freed like Pig Caso. It is known that Pig Caso has held his art exhibitions in Berlin, London, and many other places. Meanwhile, the famous Swiss watch brand, Swatch, even created a limited edition “FLYING PIG BY MS PIGCASSO,” sparking a shopping frenzy at the time.

Recently, a piece created by Pig Caso was sold for 20,000 pounds (about over 600 million VND) – a figure that caused a stir in the online community. Pig Caso also has his own personal page with nearly 60,000 followers.
