In recent years, the Vietnamese YouTube community has seen many new faces emerge, and it doesn’t take long for them to become names that capture the attention of a large online audience. Mrs. Tan Vlog and 1977 Vlog are two of the clearest examples, as these YouTube channels have indeed become very familiar to all of us. However, phenomena remain just that, and currently, both have lost much of their former popularity.
Mrs. Tan Vlog
At the time of its debut, Mrs. Tan Vlog unexpectedly became a phenomenon in the Vietnamese YouTube community in a way that no one could have imagined. With her gigantic food creations, which were not a new style, Mrs. Tan scored points thanks to her rustic and down-to-earth interactions, with phrases that even became quotes like “60 pots of Banh Chung” and “Hello, my grandchildren”. At her peak, each of Mrs. Tan Vlog’s clips attracted millions of views just hours after being uploaded. But the reality now is quite different.

Accordingly, after a lot of drama surrounding hygiene issues, bizarre cooking recipes, or edited clips, along with continuous negative incidents related to her son Hung Vlog, Mrs. Tan Vlog is no longer mentioned as much as before. Moreover, her clips have also seen a severe drop in views, even less than 1/10 of their initial numbers.
1977 Vlog
A year ago, the name 1977 Vlog probably shook the online community with their humorous and witty clips, which incorporated quite a bit of social and worldly knowledge. The laughter from this YouTuber group reached viewers in a very innocent and simple way, much like their black-and-white filming style, but not everyone has enough knowledge to fully grasp the subtleties within. Thus, with just four clips, 1977 Vlog quickly achieved the YouTube Gold Button at that time.

At present, 1977 Vlog still enjoys a lot of love from the online community for their meaningful clips. However, the group’s popularity has also waned. Partly due to the limited frequency of their video releases, not chasing YouTube income, and partly because their video-making style is no longer as novel as before. Nevertheless, 1977 Vlog still deserves to be considered a “sustainable” phenomenon in the Vietnamese YouTube scene.
Khoa Pug
Rising to fame due to a controversy at a resort, Khoa Pug continuously surprised viewers with his extravagant reviews and carefree spending. His trips often cost up to billions of VND, including indulging in luxurious dishes. At his peak, Khoa Pug’s views also reached millions.

However, after some time, it seems that not many people are as interested in Khoa Pug as before. Although he still has a large fan base, the name Khoa Pug is indeed showing signs of being forgotten.
