Mr. Khong Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC), confirmed that Hanoi has recorded one more positive case related to the outbreak in Hai Duong.
The patient N.Q.M., male, 41 years old, resides on Phuc Dien Street, Xuan Phuong Ward, Nam Tu Liem District. The patient has been transferred for isolation and treatment at the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital after receiving a confirmed positive result on the night of January 29.
According to initial investigations, on January 16, the patient returned to his hometown in Hai Duong and had contact with a positive case. On January 17, the patient returned to Hanoi.

On January 29, the patient visited the Xuan Phuong Health Station to declare his health history after returning from Hai Duong. He was identified as a suspected case by the Nam Tu Liem District Health Center, which ordered a sample to be taken and transferred him to Dong Da General Hospital for isolation.
At 1 AM on January 30, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 as confirmed by the Hanoi CDC.
Preliminary findings indicate there are 39 F1 contacts, including 7 people at his residence and 32 people at his workplace; 12 F2 contacts. Currently, the Hanoi CDC is actively tracing related individuals and conducting epidemiological investigations.
Thus, this is the third Covid-19 patient in Hanoi, following a male student from Hai Duong residing in Cau Giay District and a woman living in Times City, Hoang Mai District, who is linked to patient 1553.
