On December 10, the Birmingham court (UK) held a trial and convicted a young man named Abdul Elahi for coercing over 2,000 victims to send explicit images and pornographic videos for money. This was all thanks to the facade of a wealthy “sugar daddy” while in reality he was “broke as a joke.” His scheme and methods, once revealed, left many people horrified!
Judge Sarah Buckingham stated that Abdul Elahi targeted women who were financially struggling or even desperate, luring them into a path of sin, with consequences that were “completely horrific and never-ending.”
At the trial, he admitted to 158 offenses involving 72 victims and was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life. The judge told the 26-year-old: “The actual number of your victims could be in the thousands. Clearly, you were only focused on your own pleasure without caring about the extreme suffering of your victims.”

Dirty Scheme Traps Too Many Victims
Elahi posed as a wealthy “sugar daddy” claiming to be a stock broker. He posted such information on Sugar Daddy websites. When a “prey” approached him, he began to ask them to send pictures in high heels, then deepened the request by asking for more explicit images and started inquiring about their personal lives and children.
Court records show that Elahi’s requests became increasingly depraved, from inserting objects into genitalia, licking waste, and bowing down to toilets. He even forced victims to hold up signs in front of the camera with suggestive content.

Elahi would also ask young women if they had children and how old they were, as he “liked disgusting videos” and wanted to sell them online worldwide. He even forced some victims to harm themselves and blackmailed several women to force them to send videos of them abusing children – some as young as 8 months old.
To gain the trust of the victims, he often sent fake screenshots showing large sums of money being transferred – for example, £158,000 (approximately $200,000).
If a victim refused to abuse their child, he would threaten to reveal explicit images of the victim to their family and colleagues.
Elahi bragged about lavish parties on his private jet and how he used his jet to travel to Los Angeles, but in reality, he was living off his parents and working at McDonald’s.
Once he obtained explicit videos and child abuse material from the victims, Elahi sold them to pedophiles worldwide in packaged boxes. In one transaction, he sold one terabyte of disturbing images and footage, including 1,000 hours of video and 310,000 photographs. Elahi received payment through Amazon gift cards, then bought electronics and sold them for cash.
Relentless Pursuit
Prosecutor Andrew Langdale deemed Elahi as “one of the most serious online sex predators to ever appear before this court.” He added: “Elahi not only blackmails others. He also teaches others how to abuse women and children. We consider him a dangerous predator. Torturing others is his full-time job.”
Some of Elahi’s victims had resorted to suicide due to despair. One victim reported that she attempted to overdose on paracetamol after discovering that Elahi had posted her images on Twitter.
Another victim indicated that she had contemplated suicide and was currently on medication for anxiety and depression, often worrying that videos of herself would resurface online.

Tony Cook, Head of the CSA at the NCA, stated: “Abdul Elahi is a brutal individual, who satisfied his sexual desires through power and control over his victims; once the prey was trapped, he would pursue them to the extent that the victim wanted to commit suicide. He has shattered the lives and families of countless individuals.”
In December 2018, Elahi was arrested by the UK Crime Agency but was later released. After his release, he continued his crimes until he was arrested in August 2020.
Prosecutors stated that Elahi also moved online conversations to WhatsApp to cover his tracks. 67,000 indecent images were recovered from various devices and Elahi’s cloud storage. There is evidence that he had meticulously recorded all data.

Joining Elahi in this trial was Kirsty Nicholls (35 years old). Previously, she had pleaded guilty to 2 counts of sexual assault against children and 1 count of creating obscene images. After Elahi’s arrest in July 2018, officers from the NCA, FBI, and police forces from Australia and New Zealand discovered text messages between the couple. Elahi instructed Nicholls to abuse a boy and she complied, even suggesting ways to carry out the abuse.
In court, she was sentenced to 6 years and 9 months for her crimes. As for the “fake sugar daddy” Elahi, he was sentenced to 32 years in prison after admitting to 158 counts of sexual offenses involving 72 victims. His victims were from 34 countries, from 2017 to 2019.
