A Singaporean resident was hospitalized after a bizarre attack by a group of otters at the park
Graham George Spencer, a British expatriate, still feels scared when thinking about the terrifying encounter with the group of otters, which occurred on November 30, while he was walking to the Singapore Botanic Gardens with a friend.
Spencer, around 60 years old, was reportedly jogging when he noticed about 20 otters charging straight towards him.

It turns out that the group of otters was chasing another nearby jogger. Fortunately, this person managed to escape, but the otters set their sights on Spencer and decided to attack him.
According to media reports, the otters attacked Spencer’s ankles and jumped on him, continuing to bite around his legs, shoes, buttocks, and a finger.
“I was bitten 26 times in 10 seconds,” Spencer recounted in horror to Today.

Afterwards, the victim’s friend, who was about “15 steps away,” ran over and yelled in an attempt to scare off the furry bullies.
Soon after, Spencer was taken to the hospital for treatment, costing 20 million VND for his injuries.
The hospital doctors were also quite surprised to receive such a severe case of an otter attack for the first time. However, the doctors stated that Spencer was very lucky not to have contracted rabies from the wild animals.
Once rabies sets in, the mortality rate is guaranteed to reach 100%.
