It can be said that for many gamers from the 80s and 90s, Diablo II is a legendary game that is closely tied to their childhood. Therefore, when Blizzard announced that they would revive this RPG with the new title Diablo II: Resurrected, many people were extremely excited and hopeful about it.

However, when the game was officially released, it turned into a massive disappointment for the majority of gamers. While the graphics of Diablo II: Resurrected are indeed better, the servers of this game have proven to be extremely poor. Despite being launched for over two weeks, this game continuously encounters bugs, goes offline, and requires constant maintenance.
On October 12, Blizzard continuously promised on Twitter that they would find a way to fix the game’s issues as soon as possible. However, at the current time, players of Diablo II: Resurrected still continue to experience game crashes, loss of equipment, and the gaming progress is not saved at all.

This has created a massive wave of anger within the gaming community and caused the user score on Metacritic for Diablo II: Resurrected to hit rock bottom at 3.6/10. This is considered the worst user score in the Diablo franchise, as Diablo III still managed to attain a score of 4.1. It is no exaggeration to say that the legendary name Diablo II has been destroyed by Blizzard itself due to the terrible Resurrected version.

In the past, Blizzard also disappointed its loyal fans with the disastrous release of Warcraft III: Reforged. Combined with the “disaster” named Diablo II: Resurrected, it is clear that Blizzard is merely trying to milk their fans rather than caring about the quality of the games. Indeed, with such terrible games, the trust of gamers in Blizzard’s future products has almost completely vanished.
