For Genshin Impact players, the gacha activity is probably not a strange thing anymore. From praying for characters and weapons to farming artifacts in Genshin Impact, everything is related to gacha. Therefore, various types of content surrounding this always attract significant attention from the community of this role-playing game.

Recently, a player with the Reddit account u/anonomouscoconut shared a “funny yet sad” story when he was questioned by the police while gacha rolling for the character Tartaglia. If you didn’t know, the character Tartaglia is also commonly known as Childe. Players on the North American or Western European servers often refer to this character as Childe because it’s shorter and easier to remember.

Returning to the main character of the story, this guy seemed very eager to own the character Tartaglia, so he saved up a lot of Primogems to gacha this banner. And when the Tartaglia banner officially appeared, this player was extremely excited and loudly prayed, saying “Give me my Childe” or “Please give me Childe”.
However, the pronunciation of the word Childe is too similar to Child (meaning a child). Therefore, when he shouted loudly like that, his neighbors misheard it as “Give me my childe” or “Return my child to me”. Fearing that there might be a domestic conflict leading to a fight, the neighbors called the police to intervene.

Fortunately, this player was not held for too long after explaining that he only wanted the character Childe and there was no conflict at all. However, the player u/anonomouscoconut was not too pleased as he still couldn’t obtain the character Tartaglia that he desired.

After this story was shared on the Reddit forum, many people couldn’t help but laugh when reading it. Additionally, several gamers advised that the player in the story should close the windows tightly and install soundproofing to avoid falling into such an awkward situation.
