Accordingly, the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City has directed:
– From 6 PM on May 3, temporarily suspend the operation of service businesses: music and drama theaters, cinemas, massage parlors, saunas, and electronic game points until further notice.
– Temporarily close Dam Sen Cultural Park for 7 days to review responsibility due to overcrowding on May 1, 2021.
– Temporarily halt the organization of non-urgent conferences and seminars; important conferences that have been planned must reduce scale, attendee numbers, and strictly adhere to the 5K regulations.
The spirit of Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong is to tighten discipline, emphasize the responsibility of heads of Departments, Sectors, and localities, and absolutely not be negligent or subjective in the upcoming period for a safe city and controlled COVID-19.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City had suspended the operation of bars, karaoke, and nightclubs from 6 PM on April 30 to prevent the spread of the disease in this sensitive situation.
Speaking about the duration of the suspension, during the urgent meeting held on the morning of April 30, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong stated that depending on the situation, the City People’s Committee will decide when these three types of services can resume operations.
