In accordance with the directive from the Hanoi People’s Committee at Official Dispatch No. 04/CD-UBND dated April 29, 2021 regarding the enhancement of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in Hanoi; Official Dispatch No. 05/CD-UBND dated May 2, 2021 regarding the strengthening of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the city after the holiday period of April 30 and May 1; Official Dispatch No. 06/CD-UBND dated May 3, 2021 regarding the temporary suspension of non-essential activities to prevent and control COVID-19 in the city, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has issued a dispatch deciding that students at all levels will stop attending school.
Specifically, students from all educational levels, including preschool, primary, secondary, high school, continuing education – vocational training, foreign language centers, IT centers, cultural enrichment, skill training, foreign-invested short-term training institutions, and preschool educational establishments in the area will suspend in-person classes from May 4 until further notice.
During the time off from school, students will switch to online learning.
Thus, as of now, there are five provinces and cities where students have been temporarily suspended from school: Hanoi, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, while Yen Bai and Hung Yen have allowed students from certain localities in the province to take time off from school.
