1. Binh Dinh
On July 29, the Department of Education and Training in Binh Dinh issued a document regarding the enhancement of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic in educational institutions across the province.
The department decided to temporarily suspend extracurricular activities and prohibited additional classes both inside and outside school for students from grades 1 to 11 who are currently on summer break. For preschool education, classes will continue as usual. However, for 12th-grade students who are studying and preparing for exams, schools will continue to provide support for them.
2. Nghe An
On July 29, the Department of Education and Training in Nghe An issued a document requesting that preschool educational institutions temporarily suspend childcare activities during the summer until further notice. Previously, the province also issued a document strictly prohibiting additional classes during the summer in any form. However, childcare during the summer is a voluntary activity that has received parental consent.

3. Quang Nam
The Department of Education and Training in Quang Nam requests to temporarily suspend the activities of foreign language centers, life skills education centers, and additional teaching facilities in the province.
High schools, ethnic boarding schools, and the Provincial Continuing Education Center are coordinating with parents to monitor the health status of students preparing for the high school graduation exam; if any student shows symptoms of coughing, fever, or difficulty breathing, it must be promptly reported to local health authorities and the Department of Education and Training for monitoring and guidance.
Emphasis is placed on 12th-grade students to strictly implement hygiene measures, dedicating time to review at home to achieve the best results in their graduation exams.
4. Hai Phong
On the evening of July 27, the People’s Committee of Hai Phong sent an urgent document regarding preventive measures against the pandemic in schools as well as organizing summer classes. Students will not attend summer classes in July and August as per the summer plan that was issued. For 12th-grade students and preschool children, classes will be conducted as follows: 12th-grade review classes must be closely monitored by teachers for health; if any unusual symptoms are detected in students, immediate reporting to management authorities is required.

5. Vinh Long
Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education and Training in Vinh Long announced the temporary suspension of summer classes for children for the 2019 – 2020 school year in all preschools and kindergartens across the province to prevent the spread of the virus. Additionally, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Long, Lu Quang Ngoi, has directed the enhancement of Covid-19 prevention measures in the province.
6. Quang Ngai
From the afternoon of July 26, educational units and institutions must allow preschool children to take a break and temporarily suspend all additional teaching activities to prevent the pandemic. For the 2020 National High School Graduation Exam, schools will continue regular review sessions, and examination centers are responsible for strictly implementing Covid-19 prevention measures.
7. Da Nang
Students from preschool, foreign language centers, IT centers, talent development centers, life skills centers, and additional teaching facilities… will take a break from classes. Furthermore, all activities gathering students and learners from 1 PM on July 26 must be halted until further notice. Private universities will decide on the concentration of students based on the actual situation and directives from the relevant ministries.

Additionally, some provinces also issued announcements requiring the strengthening of Covid-19 prevention measures in teaching and learning. In Hanoi, the Department of Education and Training has also requested schools not to organize additional classes in any form to ensure a more complete summer break for students.
Particularly, in Tay Ho district, where there is 1 confirmed Covid-19 case, the district People’s Committee has requested the closure of all educational facilities to ensure the health of students. Furthermore, schools must develop plans to ensure distancing and safety during the upcoming enrollment season for grades 1 and 6.
