Around early October 2021, Riot revealed images of two new Dragon buffs for the Summoner’s Rift. In the recent 11.23 update, these new Dragon buffs, including the Tech Dragon and the Chemtech Dragon, have officially reached League of Legends players. The League of Legends community is extremely excited about these new Dragon buffs, especially the power they bring to players.
However, while the Chemtech Dragon has been somewhat “quiet,” the Tech Dragon is currently “causing a stir” in the League of Legends community due to its power when champions possess the Dragon Soul. Especially if the team also has the Elder Dragon, the power increases exponentially, to the point of being potentially uncontrollable. It’s important to note that previously, Riot informed about the mechanism of obtaining the Tech Dragon buff as follows: when players defeat this Dragon, they will receive cooldown reduction and attack speed, and when obtaining the Tech Dragon Soul, players will have both a slowing electric beam and damage, and when the Tech Dragon alters the terrain, teleportation gates will appear throughout the map.

Recently, a League of Legends player named K3vin5Durant posted a clip on Reddit that shocked the international League of Legends community. Specifically, in the clip uploaded by K3vin5Durant, the main character is the champion Shaco at level 16 while possessing the Tech Dragon Soul and the Elder Dragon. It can be seen that Shaco simply needs to create a clone and get defeated by the enemy. However, afterward, Shaco’s Jack in the Box explodes, dealing an enormous amount of area damage, combined with the electric beam from the Tech Dragon Soul and the damage from the Elder Dragon, allowing Shaco to wipe out all four enemy champions even though all four of them were at a relatively high level and nearly full health.
It is clear that the power of Jack in the Box significantly increases when combined with the new Dragon buffs and the familiar power of the Elder Dragon. Even in a disadvantaged situation like in the clip, the player with the champion Shaco can still take on all four opponents with just a single Clone ability.
In the new season, these two Dragon buffs will appear alongside the four old elemental dragons and the Elder Dragon. It is still unclear how the Tech Dragon interacts with other champions besides Shaco, but with the power displayed, Riot needs to carefully consider before these Dragons make their appearance in professional tournaments.
