The concept of a parallel universe has been around since the early 1960s, primarily in the minds of fans of sci-fi movies and comic books. However, recently, a cosmic ray detection experiment has uncovered particles that may originate from a “realm” parallel to our own, which was also born from the Big Bang.
Experts used a gigantic helium balloon to lift NASA’s Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) to the upper atmosphere of Antarctica, where the cold and dry air creates a perfect environment with minimal radio wave interference – which could distort the results obtained.
And that was when they detected a stream of “winds” consisting of high-energy particles from space.
Low-energy, subatomic neutrinos, with a mass close to zero, can completely pass through the Earth, but higher energy objects will be blocked by the dense matter on our planet.
This means that high-energy particles can only be detected when they come “down” to Earth from space, but ANITA’s research team detected heavier particles, known as “tau neutrinos”, moving “up” from Earth to space.

This discovery suggests that those particles are actually moving backward in time, which could be seen as evidence of a parallel universe.
Researcher Peter Gorham of ANITA, a physicist specializing in particle research at the University of Hawaii, stated that the only way for “tau neutrinos” to behave this way is if they transform into a different type of particle before passing through the Earth and then reverse back.
Gorham, a co-author of the study conducted at Cornell University describing this strange phenomenon, mentioned that he and his colleagues have witnessed many of these “impossible phenomena” – events that some people are skeptical about.
“Not everyone is satisfied with that hypothesis” – he said.

The simplest explanation for this phenomenon is that at the moment of the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago, two universes formed – our universe, and a reverse universe (from the perspective of the first universe) with time running backward.
Of course, if there were beings living in such a parallel universe, they would also view us as the universe running backward.
