The site MySmartPrice has just revealed the first details about the battery capacity of the upcoming iPhone 12 series.

Specifically, the batteries of the 4 models are identified by the names A2471, A2431, and A2466. The batteries have been certified for safety by Safety Korea, China’s 3C, and Denmark’s UL Demko agency.
Specifically, the battery capacities of the models are:
– iPhone 12 (5.4 inch) – A2471 – battery 2,227mAh
– iPhone 12 Max (6.1 inch) – A2431 – battery 2,775mAh
– iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inch) – A2431 – battery 2,775mAh
– iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inch) – A2466 – battery 3,687mAh
Previously, Apple improved the battery capacity for the two models iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The iPhone 11 Pro has a battery of 3,046mAh, up from 2,658mAh on the iPhone XS, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max has 3,969mAh, up from 3,174mAh on the iPhone XS Max.
Notably, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the iPhone model with the largest battery life to date, lasting up to 5 hours longer than the iPhone XS Max.
Thus, if the above battery specifications are true, it will certainly disappoint iPhone users.
It is unclear what the reason behind Apple’s decision to reduce battery capacity on the iPhone is, but the iPhone 12 is expected to incorporate many new technologies, including 5G, which may consume more power than the previous generation.
