Hanoi Locks Down Residential Area Due to Suspected COVID-19 Case
Authorities have proceeded to quarantine the area of Alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong (Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) after discovering a suspected COVID-19 case.
Speaking with reporters on the morning of July 29, Mr. Hứa Đức Minh – Chairman of Me Tri Ward said that there was one suspected COVID-19 case in Me Tri Ward, currently residing in Alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong.
Mr. Minh stated that the local government is currently investigating the epidemiological situation of this individual, and preliminary results are already available. Meanwhile, the authorities are proceeding to quarantine the area of Alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong, where the suspected COVID-19 case resides.
According to Mr. Minh, this man recently returned from Da Nang.
In a conversation with Tien Phong, Mr. Khổng Minh Tuấn, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC), stated that they are waiting for the test results of a case with cough and fever returning from Da Nang. Specifically, Mr. Tuấn mentioned that this case traveled from Da Nang and exhibited symptoms of cough and fever, directly visiting the Central Tropical Hospital for examination. ‘Currently, we are also waiting for the test results from the hospital,’ Mr. Tuấn said.
According to reporters’ observations, on the morning of July 29, authorities quarantined the area where the suspected case is located at Alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong, Me Tri Ward.
