When Ciri was just a child, her parents went missing in a sea storm and were presumed dead. Ciri spent her childhood in Cintra and Skellige Island under the care of her grandmother. She first met Geralt when she got lost in the Brokilon forest. She was almost captured by the Dryads and was to be transformed into one of them, but the Dryad queen, Eithné, unexpectedly let her choose her own future. Ciri chose Geralt and tried to stay with him after they left Brokilon, but the witcher insisted on not taking her along. Instead, he left her with the druid Mousesack, who worked for Calanthe. After that, the massacre at Cintra occurred.

During the invasion of the Nilfgaardians into Cintra, Ciri was kidnapped by a Nilfgaard knight named Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach (though his identity was not known at that time), but she found a way to escape and wandered aimlessly in Sodden until she was taken in by a merchant family as their adopted child.

Coincidentally, Geralt was also helped by that same merchant and was taken to his home. This is how Ciri and Geralt reunited once again. This time, the witcher took her with him to Kaer Morhen, where under the supervision of Triss Merigold, Ciri underwent part of her witcher training with Geralt, Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, and Coën. That is part of Ciri’s backstory in the plot of The Witcher. As can be seen, Ciri is one of the important characters who has a “stormy” childhood and grew up with strength, courage, and resilience. However, no matter what, Ciri is still a girl and possesses her own unique feminine beauty. That beauty is vividly and alluringly portrayed in the cosplay below.
