During the journey of the Vietnam U23 team at the U23 Asian Championship, many stories about fans have also gained attention. From the woman with the slogan: “Flying to the sky means I’m flying out” to the female fans in the stands.
Accordingly, at the matches of the Vietnam U23 team, there was the appearance of a female fan. Without needing to smile or pose charmingly, the girl with a serious face quickly caught the cameraman’s lens. That girl is Tran Vu Thi Kim Yen, 22 years old, who just graduated from Marketing University.
“I am really happy to be at the stadium cheering for the Vietnam U23 team at the U23 Asian Championship in Thailand. I must say that I don’t know how to express my feelings anymore. Besides watching football, I also toured the city where the Vietnam U23 team is competing”, Kim Yen enthusiastically shared.
Previously, Yen was not passionate about football. After the U23 Asian Championship in 2018, she found herself drawn into this sport without realizing it. Since then, she has not missed any matches of the Vietnamese national teams.
“In the past, when I didn’t have the means, I gathered to watch football with friends at pedestrian streets and schools. Now that I can watch it live, the feeling is entirely different. I have never experienced a football atmosphere like this before”, Yen confided.

She also shared that her biggest admiration is for the player Duc Chinh. Explaining this, she thinks Duc Chinh is very genuine, honest, and down-to-earth.
When appearing on television and gaining attention, Kim Yen received many followers from netizens. She expressed that she was very surprised but also grateful to those who noticed her.

“Many people say that girls watching football are just faking it or following a trend, which is wrong. Sometimes, having a passion for a sport means there’s nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to show off. Like us, from a tournament, we became fans of this sport, enjoying watching football, so what’s wrong with that?”
“Thanks to following, we get closer to football and see how hard the players work. Perhaps, if we call it a movement, then no one can patiently follow it for long”, Yen shared.
