If you feel that Android smartphones have become too boring even with custom ROMs installed, then behold something you rarely get to see: an Android phone fully equipped with Windows 10, specifically the Xiaomi Mi 6.
A developer in China recently “attempted” to install Windows 10 on his Xiaomi Mi 6. It seemed that the device would throw an error, however, with the Windows version designed for ARM x64 devices, the Xiaomi Mi 6 successfully booted and loaded the initial setup screen with input options.

To clarify, Windows 10 x64 ARM is not a stripped-down version or a lightweight edition of Windows 10; it is actually a complete version, and users can run and install .exe files right on the Xiaomi Mi 6, with features identical to the desktop version.
Previously, Qualcomm had also demonstrated the ability to install the Windows 10 platform on devices running the Snapdragon 820 chip, specifically on a tablet with 4GB of RAM. The results were quite promising, with popular applications such as Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, and even the 3D game World of Tanks running with very stable performance.

Of course, to achieve such feats, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge about hardware and software, as well as be willing to take risks if any issues occur with your device. For “tinkerers”, nothing is impossible.
