Like many other streamers, Michelle Statham has a live stream lasting four to five hours each day, where she plays with online friends while fans and other gamers watch along. Statham often plays “Call of Duty: Warzone,” and at the age of 56, she is one of the oldest female streamers.

“Gaming can feel very competitive, but when you livestream and play games with her, it becomes very rewarding and fun” – Michelle shared.
And of course, Statham can’t achieve the high stats like many young and beautiful streamers today. However, when her story went live, especially gaining traction on TikTok, this female streamer was overjoyed to share that she gained up to 300,000 subscribers in just a few days – a truly admirable number for a “grandma” streamer like her.

Of course, there must be a reason for Statham choosing this path at nearly 60 years old, with three children and two grandchildren. Specifically, she was previously very passionate about console games, even addicted to them. However, everything changed when Statham developed arthritis in her thumb and could no longer comfortably operate a standard game controller.
“So my husband was like, ‘Well, why don’t we buy a PC and it will be fun to learn how to use a mouse and keyboard and we can livestream too’” Statham said.

At first, Statham thought she was too introverted to stream live and was sure that no one would want to watch her livestream anyway. Her husband pointed out that if no one followed her, it wouldn’t matter. Now, less than two years later, Statham’s daily routine includes waking up at 7 AM most days of the week to prepare for a 9 AM livestream on Facebook, where she has over 66,000 followers.
Some streamers with millions of followers on other platforms can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars online through paid subscriptions, donations, ad revenue, and merchandise sales. Like most other streamers, Statham sells merchandise – you can buy TacticalGramma hoodies or t-shirts, and she also accepts donations. So far, she says she has been able to invest in new streaming equipment with the money she has earned.
