In the VTV evening news, games were mentioned again in the 7 PM news bulletin of the Vietnam Television. A series of products like Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, or even the national general of League of Legends – Yasuo were all mentioned by VTV with accompanying images.

According to the report, online gaming has very negative effects on the youth. Many popular online game products today, including Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Identity V, were mentioned by VTV as examples of games that do not control the age of players, do not limit the time of use for players, lack content censorship (in the case of foreign games), and finally, are referred to as potentially addictive.

These issues have caused the Vietnamese gaming community in general and the mentioned games in particular to feel disturbed. In many gaming community groups on Facebook, the story of VTV has become a hot topic of discussion among players. Of course, most of the comments are not very cheerful, especially when the players’ favorite games are cited as examples of the numerous harms of online gaming.
It can be seen that last night, the Vietnamese gaming community was stirred up. Many players reported that right after the news program ended, gamers heard warnings and lessons from their parents to minimize the risk of gaming addiction in the future.

Some gamers questioned whether this is truly fair to games in general and gamers in particular? It is hoped that the Vietnamese gaming community will remain calm, express their voices in a civilized manner, and that there will be no incidents or turmoil in the Vietnamese gaming scene in the near future.
