After the first day of competition (May 13), the two Free Fire representatives from Vietnam only managed to secure modest positions
The first final day of the Free Fire competition kicked off explosively and professionally with bilingual hosting from MC Quang Tho and MC Minh Anh. After introducing the participating representatives and the teams competing, the first match of Free Fire SEA Games 31 officially started.

With the home advantage, VIET NAM 2 started the match actively and quickly gained the first advantages. However, getting caught up in fights caused VIET NAM 2 to miss out on higher rankings. Competing live in front of hundreds of spectators turned out to be a “double-edged sword” for VIET NAM 2, as it was both a motivation and a pressure for our representatives.

Meanwhile, VIET NAM 1 opted for a cautious playstyle and only unleashed their “heavy artillery” in the final circles. However, the other representative from Vietnam also showed their weaknesses in close combat. Facing the destructive performance of Indonesia and the troublesome gameplay from Thailand, the two Free Fire representatives from Vietnam encountered many challenges in their medal quest.

The Audience is Always There
With free live entry, the Free Fire competition received overwhelming support from fans. Even before the matches started, hundreds of spectators gathered early, excitedly cheering for the competing teams in general and the Vietnamese representatives in particular.

Here, it was not hard to notice many foreign spectators coming to “ignite the fire” for their players.

Despite seven consecutive matches taking place, the enthusiasm and heat in the competition room never cooled down.

Vietnamese Players “Defeated but Not Discouraged”
At the end of the first day of Free Fire competition, Indonesia 1 claimed the top spot with an impressive score (139), Thailand 1 with three Booyahs! climbed to second place, just two points ahead of Indonesia 2. The two Vietnamese teams, Vietnam 1 and Vietnam 2, ranked 10th and 6th respectively.
After the match, representatives from both teams shared their emotional reflections:
The athletes will continue to compete on the second day on May 15. The team with the highest total score will win the gold medal.
