TikTok recently appeared on VTV with a series of violations such as:
Ineffective control over violating content
Using algorithms to spread sensational, clickbait content
No measures to control, prevent business, trading, advertising activities…
Poor management of TikTok idols’ activities
No measures to control copyright-infringing content
Lack of management to prevent users from exploiting private, personal images.

This is an inevitable consequence for this platform. In just a few years since its emergence in the Vietnamese market, TikTok has produced a multitude of “idols” alongside various violations. Not only is there “dirty” content designed to attract views, but TikTok’s content has also become increasingly depraved and corrupted.

There have been numerous TikTok videos promoting trends that can only be described as “sickening.” The serious concern is that these clips influence the mindset and awareness of a large portion of young users, even minors. These impacts will lead to distorted perceptions, resulting in unpredictable consequences for future behaviors.

Recently, a well-known influencer on TikTok posted a video promoting the sensitive act of “exchanging 18+”. This is depraved content created solely for the purpose of attracting views from users. One would expect that these verified TikTok accounts should be aware that their “little fun” in the clip could have far-reaching effects on users and society.

TikTok is indeed in trouble, but this is an inevitable consequence, the price this platform has to pay for failing to control the inappropriate, dirty, and harmful content created by its own users. Despite the fact that this platform still has many healthy contents, it cannot create a good impression with users when the application is flooded with dangerous content.
