Last night was truly a sad event for Arena of Valor Vietnam when our number one hope – Team Flash had to stop early at AWC 2021 as they could not get past the group stage. Team Flash exited the tournament while being the defending champion of this event in 2019, the time we celebrated victory on home soil.

But falling into the group of death and losing to the weakest opponent from Indonesia, Team Flash shot themselves in the foot. If they hadn’t lost to Dewa, the team considered the easy target of Group A, perhaps Team Flash wouldn’t have faced such an outcome. Team Flash is regarded as the number one hope because everyone knows the resilience of this team in international tournaments.
Team Flash is also a team that can overcome many pressures from themselves as well as external factors to perform better as the matches progress. The Spring Arena of Glory was a prime example.

But life is always like that, winning makes you a king, losing often brings ridicule from the community, even harsh words. Team Flash was not exempt from this situation yesterday when during the livestream, there were many reproachful words from Arena of Valor players in Vietnam directed at this team.

To be fair, although Team Flash made mistakes by losing to the opponent from Indonesia, success and failure are common; there are times of standing at the pinnacle of glory, but also times of undesired results. Therefore, is it fair for the community to express harsh words towards Team Flash?

When going international, whether it is Team Flash, Saigon Phantom, or V Gaming, it does not matter; what matters is that they represent Vietnam on the regional and global Arena of Valor stage. Perhaps, we should evaluate and perceive them with more fairness and objectivity. No matter which team from Vietnam, they should not have to receive such insulting remarks.
