Over the past year, Sang Vlog has become a name worth noting, even affectionately nicknamed “the poorest YouTuber in Vietnam” by fans for his simple videos featuring countryside food that garner millions of views. This reputation stems from the fact that he currently lives in a house made of bamboo, with a flimsy tin roof, where there is only one bed in a small room for his mother, while he sleeps on the ground. However, recently, Sang Vlog has also found himself embroiled in some controversies, and in his latest video, he stirred up considerable debate online by publicly disclosing the amount he pays the children who participate in his clips.

Specifically, Sang Vlog shared his earnings from YouTube quite candidly. He mentioned that many people think he could earn between 100 to 200 million VND each month, but this is completely unrealistic. In fact, with only 5 to 10 videos produced each month, which is not a regular frequency, his income, as he revealed, is only about half of that amount. To prove this point, Sang Vlog declared that he had just received 50 million VND from YouTube, and he gifted 24 million to 8 young buffalo herders—those who helped him create the video. The remaining amount, Sang Vlog stated, will be saved to build a house for his mother.

Sang Vlog also believes that the criticism he receives for making videos with children is unjustified. According to the YouTuber’s clarification, since the kids have started accompanying him to film videos, they have changed significantly, becoming more obedient and facing less hardship compared to their previous jobs…

Recently, Sang Vlog’s name has attracted more attention due to various controversies and suspicions. From people doubting that he pretends to be poor to gain interaction, to claims that he has a large crew behind him for filming while insisting he only uses an old smartphone, and most recently, he had to remove or pause videos due to issues related to endangered animals in a previous video.
