The Intense “Shade Throwing” by Gamers: Call of Duty Mobile’s Guns Are Too Recoil Heavy, Skins Don’t Enhance Power, Characters Lack Unique Skills

It seems that the conflict between Call of Duty Mobile and Free Fire gamers is far from over.

Call of Duty Mobile and Free Fire are still one of the dramas in the Vietnamese mobile gaming market recently. From the moment of its release, this “feud” was ignited by Free Fire gamers urging others to rate Call of Duty Mobile 1 star on the Google Play app store in Vietnam, claiming that this product copied their game.

Not stopping there, another Free Fire player claimed that Call of Duty Mobile is just a game riding on the success of Free Fire. The full content of this “declaration” is as follows: “After seeing the resounding success of Free Fire, Call of Duty immediately followed suit. With modes like Team Deathmatch and Battle Royale from Free Fire, Call of Duty blatantly stole the modes that brought fame to the game.

Ultimately, Free Fire is an established game that sets the standard for later copycat games, so it can be said that Call of Duty is a copycat game.”

This also led many Call of Duty Mobile gamers to feel “dissatisfied” with the opinions of Free Fire players. Since then, Call of Duty Mobile players have always had a rather unfriendly view of their opponents. Recently, a player posted in a Call of Duty Mobile group with the following content:

“Hello everyone.

I’m a newbie who just switched from Free Fire. I’ve just played a few matches and found the gameplay quite fun, the graphics beautiful, and many eye-catching gun skins.

But the downside is that the guns have too much recoil that is hard to control, the gun skins don’t enhance power, and the characters lack unique skills, which is a bit boring.”

Immediately, the post attracted a lot of attention from the Call of Duty Mobile community. Many comments instantly expressed outrage toward this gamer. However, if one pays close attention, they will see that the player is intentionally “throwing shade” at Free Fire players. Many gamers recognized the intention of this post aimed at “putting down” the opponent by mentioning factors considered characteristic and somewhat “quirky” features of Free Fire such as gun skins to enhance power or a character system with unique skills and strengths.

From the very first day of its global release, Free Fire chose a completely different direction from other survival games. While other products in the same genre aim to maximize balance in the game in every aspect from weapons, skins to characters, Free Fire does the opposite.

Call of Duty: Mobile VN, developed by TiMi Studios of Tencent, features the three most popular shooting modes in the world: Multiplayer – a thrilling 5v5 team battle mode, Battle Royale – a challenging survival mode with extremely fast-paced combat, and Zombies.
