Sometimes, doctors face many relatively bizarre cases of patients. In fact, some individuals have rather peculiar habits that can easily lead to unintended situations, such as the guy in the story below, who urgently begged a doctor to save him after intentionally swallowing an entire Nokia phone.
According to the story shared by a doctor named Skender Telaku, he recently received a patient who claimed to have experienced severe stomach pain for the past four days. After checking, none of the symptoms matched basic illnesses, so Dr. Skender quickly proceeded with an endoscopy. And there, surprisingly, in the young man’s stomach was the entire Nokia phone.

Since there is acid in the phone’s battery, Dr. Skender was very concerned that it could leak out and endanger the patient’s life, so he quickly discussed with his team to remove the phone. Ultimately, with their skilled hands, the phone was divided into three parts by specialized instruments, and then removed piece by piece using a clamp. Dr. Skender indicated that the battery was the most dangerous part because it could explode at any moment or leak acid. It took two hours to completely extract the phone from the man. It remains unclear why the guy acted so foolishly.

However, it seems that swallowing phones is a hobby for quite a few people. In addition to the above incident, not long ago, a guy living in Aswan, southern Egypt, even shocked doctors more when he came to confess that he had swallowed a phone six months ago, hoping to see how it would pass through his digestive system.

And the outcome was that the guy’s abdomen was severely infected, and being a step late could have endangered his life.
