Therefore, it’s not surprising that YouTubers come up with countless ways and tricks to improve these metrics. However, while there are few who invest time and effort into content and products, there are many who resort to distasteful tricks to gain views, like the guy in the story below.
Specifically, the main character in this story is a real “young punk,” only 17 years old this year. Wanting to become a YouTuber but not knowing how to create engaging content, this young man, along with three of his close friends, came up with a bold idea. They decided to wear masks, break into his own house, and stage a kidnapping for ransom. When the boy’s mother returned home, she was horrified to see four strangers pointing a gun at her head, demanding money. But as fate would have it, luck or misfortune is hard to tell, as the clever mother found a way to escape and then called the police.
Immediately upon realizing the incident had been exposed, the young man hurriedly contacted the police to explain: “I was just playing a prank on my mother, and unfortunately, she managed to escape. The truth is, it was all just a joke for fun. I guess my mom called the police, and now I don’t even know where she is. I’m calling to let you know so that you don’t waste your time investigating.”
When the police officer incredulously asked, “You’re saying you staged a fake robbery and kidnapping?” the boy innocently boasted, “Exactly, but my mom thought it was real. I make videos on YouTube, so I just wanted to prank my mom to post it and get views. I still have the video as evidence here” – the YouTuber still appeared very innocent and casual.
It remains to be seen what punishment the mother will impose on her wayward son, but it is known that at this moment, the young YouTuber and his three friends are under police scrutiny for their foolish prank and self-destructive behavior.
