As previously announced, yesterday, Call of Duty: Mobile VN entered a two-day Alpha Test phase. Only 50,000 pre-registered gamers will receive access codes to experience the game. This event attracted a lot of attention from the gaming community and famous streamers in the Vietnamese gaming scene, including Bé Chanh. Although the “debut” wasn’t very successful, Bé Chanh still showcased his skills by earning MVP a few times on… the losing team.
Call of Duty: Mobile VN has received mixed reactions from Vietnamese players since it was announced to be released by VNG. Many players still believe they will continue playing the international version released by Garena, even though they face issues downloading the game and logging in.
Yesterday, when Call of Duty: Mobile VN officially Alpha Test, it also received many different reactions from players. In particular, a foreign gamer praised VNG’s version, but Vietnamese players disagreed with that opinion.
This foreign gamer stated: It’s unbelievable that I have experienced the Closed Beta version of Call of Duty: Mobile VN in Vietnam. This is truly exciting. This game is child-friendly, with no knives, only baseball bats. There’s no red blood, only blue blood. Strict censorship, let’s play! (Rough translation)
In fact, in yesterday’s Alpha Test, players would see that VNG had “transformed” small knives into baseball bats and the blood effects were also colored blue. This was to somewhat reduce the violence of the game, which is why the current VNG version is labeled as 12+ instead of 16+ as in some international markets.
While this foreign gamer received praise, many Vietnamese players had a different perspective and quickly… chased him away. Some of these gamers argued that they would continue to play the Garena version and advised this foreign player not to stick with the Vietnamese version. However, this gamer remained steadfast in their choice due to stable connectivity and not needing to go through too many steps to download and play.
It can be seen that many Vietnamese players still do not trust the Call of Duty Mobile Vietnam version much. Nonetheless, with the continued praise from both domestic and foreign players, it is clear that Call of Duty: Mobile VN deserves the patience of gamers, at least for now.
