Online products and real products – these two concepts have long been used as one of the simplest ways to distinguish between the fake and real of an object or item. Clearly knowing this, yet with the explosion of numerous trading and online shopping platforms, many people still easily fall into the trap of “fraudsters” just because of enticing advertisements online. A typical case is that of the young man below, who cried his heart out when he received his Iron Man mask.

Specifically, the story began when a guy with the nickname Rurarbou in Japan unexpectedly found an Iron Man helmet online with a very glamorous introduction. Accordingly, not only did it look quite impressive and similar to the real version, but the helmet was also advertised to be voice-activated, with the ability to light up the eyes like in the movie. Although still quite skeptical, especially seeing that the helmet originated from Guangdong, China, the price was also quite affordable.
Nevertheless, Rurarbou decided to take the plunge to try his luck since he was already a huge fan of Iron Man and Marvel characters. However, when the item arrived, it’s needless to say how great his disappointment was.

Two weeks after placing the order, Rurarbou received a package that looked quite flat, small, and it was immediately clear that it didn’t resemble what was shown online. Upon opening it, everything was even more surprising, as it looked no different from a rubber mask usually bought by children during the Mid-Autumn Festival. As for the eye-lighting feature? Just look at the picture on the right. The eyes of Iron Man had two tiny LED lights the size of mosquitoes, nothing like the description online at all.
Well, he could only swallow his disappointment and move on. It’s just unfortunate for Rurarbou to lose money and get nothing in return because of his curious impulse.
