Working remotely is becoming a temporary yet effective solution amidst the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in many countries around the world. As long as we have a computer with a strong Internet connection, we can comfortably handle our work, join internal meetings, or meet with clients easily and effectively.
However, being able to work remotely smoothly also requires us to have some knowledge of technology, at least to be proficient in the software we use, if we don’t want to find ourselves in the following hilarious situation: Not knowing how to turn off the filter, the boss turns into a potato during the entire online meeting with employees.
Recently, Twitter user @PettyClegg posted a photo of this humorous incident along with the caption: “My boss turned herself into a potato while meeting with the whole team on Microsoft Teams, but she didn’t know how to turn it off. And so she looked like this throughout the meeting“.

This post immediately went viral on the Internet with nearly 850,000 likes and almost 200,000 retweets, including a comment from Microsoft’s official account: “So funny, buddy“, of course accompanied by a potato emoji.

Of course, not many people dare to tease their boss, especially during tense internal meetings like this. Some netizens think it’s all fun and games, but Petty Clegg or her colleagues should have helped the boss turn off the filter to have a normal meeting, especially since it was a Monday morning.
However, it seems that this boss is quite fun and didn’t take the incident to heart. Petty shared: “The good news is my boss, Lizet Ocampo, will not fire me tomorrow. We showed her how to turn off the filter, but I’m not deleting this photo anytime soon; let’s keep it here for the internet community to relieve stress during the pandemic. Everyone, please remember to protect yourselves by staying home, and let’s welcome my boss @mlizetocampo to the Twitter universe” (and indeed, Petty tagged her boss in her post without any tension like many netizens worried).
Some others expressed admiration for her calmness and professionalism along with her team.

This isn’t the first time such “accidents” related to filters have occurred while users are working. About 2 months ago, an American reporter found himself in a similar situation while doing a live weather report on Facebook Live. And so throughout the news segment, he went on and on with a series of cute filters unaware of what was happening.
