Not long ago, the wave of boycotting TikToker Nờ Ô NÔ swept across social media due to this young man’s controversial style of charity work, especially the phrase “Hello poor old lady in the cold winter alone””. In response to this backlash, Nờ Ô NÔ apologized and altered his approach to charity to be more gentle.
However, shortly after the uproar, Nờ Ô NÔ sparked controversy again by returning to his series “Whatever the poor eat, Nờ Ô NÔ will give it to them.” In the clip, the young man helps those in difficult circumstances in Thailand.
“I accidentally walked on this street and met an old lady sitting next to a dog. What surprised me is that the dog is not sick; even though the owner is poor, the dog never complains about its owner. It’s so cute that I decided to give 2,000 baht (nearly 1.4 million VND). Wishing the two of them wouldn’t feel lonely in the cold winter anymore” – the TikToker said.

In the comments section, many people expressed mixed opinions. Some argued that the use of the word “give” in the series title “Whatever the poor eat, Nờ Ô NÔ will give it to them” or “giving 2,000 baht” is impolite and still carries a derogatory tone. The fact that this young man reiterated phrases that had been criticized, such as “cold winter alone” also met with disapproval from many.
Additionally, some opinions suggested that while the content Nờ Ô NÔ shared in the clip was normal, his tone was still rough and unpleasant. At the time of the initial boycott, Nờ Ô NÔ had created a new charity series with a much gentler style.
Here are some comments from the online community under Nờ Ô NÔ’s clip:
– Thought he changed, but turns out it’s the same? Just a few days of being moved, and now back to being cold.
– A leopard cannot change its spots.
– Is this what you call change?
– Replacing “give” with “invite” would be much more polite.
– Just when the noise calmed down a bit, his true nature returned.
A few days ago, Nờ Ô NÔ was also criticized for earnestly praising Thai food while disparaging Vietnamese cuisine. Besides comments about food quality like “Thai grilled meat is 100 times better than Vietnamese”, this young man also claimed that “Thai people eat buffet very politely, unlike Vietnamese people.”

Currently, despite continuously facing waves of criticism, Nờ Ô NÔ continues to set up a new TikTok channel and has seen a rapid increase in followers. This has left many confused and calling for continued boycotts.
