Back in May this year, we reported on a very special ARAM match lasting 2 hours and 47 minutes. Specifically, a player with the nickname Happy Wind Man shared this match on the forum League-funny.com, which garnered significant attention from the League of Legends community. At that time, this match held the record for the longest ARAM game.

However, this record was broken yesterday – October 24 – by a player with the Reddit account Kindred_OTP. This player shared on the forum about an ARAM match that lasted up to 3 hours and 10 minutes while playing with close friends. He also mentioned that after about an hour of gameplay, both sides agreed to prolong the match for as long as possible to achieve this record.

The humorous part is that after the above match ended, it was not recognized by the League of Legends client. This was due to a bug with the match history feature when the game’s end notification could not connect to Riot’s server. Player Kindred_OTP later reported this error to Riot Games’ support team, but somehow, the match was categorized as a “ghost game” and went unrecognized.

With a casual mode like ARAM, a typical match usually lasts about 15-20 minutes. Therefore, spending 3 hours and 10 minutes just to battle in one ARAM match requires a lot of patience from all 10 participating players. It’s unfortunate that the match history of that ARAM game was not recorded, but it remains a memorable experience for Kindred_OTP and his friends.
