Mysterious Nebula Appears in New Zealand’s Night Sky, Is It an Alien Visit?
Recently, a "strange nebula" in a spiral shape glowing blue has appeared on New Zealand's South Island. Many locals who witnessed this rare spectacle took photos and shared them on social media, sparking lively discussions among astronomy enthusiasts. Many speculate it could be evidence of aliens visiting Earth.
According to Mirror, Stewart Island star guide Alasdair Burns received a message from a friend around 7:25 PM on June 19, asking him to go outside and look up at the sky.
As soon as he stepped outside his house, he saw a large, unclear spiral-shaped object or phenomenon glowing blue in the dark night. Bones said skeptically: “It looks like a giant spiral galaxy, hovering in the air, slowly wafting, very bizarre.”
He then knocked on all his neighbors’ doors and invited them to see this strange astronomical sight. He stood on the balcony with 5 people looking up at the sky, everyone was astonished by the sight before them.
In addition to Bones and his neighbors, many local witnesses also shared photos on social media, which immediately sparked lively discussions among netizens.
Many people speculate that this could be evidence of aliens visiting Earth.
However, physicist Richard Easther from the University of Auckland stated that while this sight is very strange, it is actually a phenomenon that occurs every time a rocket is launched and a satellite is put into space. Easther explained that when a rocket ignites and expels exhaust, water, and carbon dioxide, it briefly creates a cloud of strange shapes illuminated by the sun.
It is known that on the same day, the American space exploration technology company SpaceX indeed launched a medium-sized Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket near Cape Canaveral, Florida, to send the communications satellite ‘FM15’ to low Earth orbit. ‘The orbital shape of the satellite and our position relative to the sun combine to create the strange clouds we see on South Island,’ Easther pointed out.
