Continuing to excel in her role as a bridge between the tournament and viewers, MC Phuong Thao is currently serving as the MC for the AIC 2024 event taking place in Ho Chi Minh City. In the group stage, she will be interviewing players after matches and creating accompanying content.
In the early matches, the home teams have not yet felt comfortable with the gameplay, performing awkwardly against their opponents. It wasn’t until yesterday’s match that SGP’s victory over HD was a rare moment where we gained an advantage. Dubbed “Mother Shrimp,” MC Phuong Thao was supposed to have an exciting post-match interview.
However, this did not happen as the national MC unexpectedly faced a mishap.
Phuong Thao updated: “Finally, after a match where Vietnam won, my dress ripped, guys. I’m running back to get a backup dress. I won’t make it in time for the SGP interview. This is so embarrassing!” – she lamented. Subsequently, her female colleague had to step in for the interview.
This is not the first time Phuong Thao has found herself in such a comical situation. During the group stage of the Winter DTDV, in a similar incident, she explained that the reason for this was that her body suited size M outfits, but she insisted on squeezing into a size S dress, leading to her “paying the price.”
Even though she quickly received support and managed the situation, Phuong Thao was still unable to fully complete the script of the program as the director was concerned that the mishap might happen again.
