The YouTube channel Adventures with Purpose, run by an American YouTuber, has been well-known for frequently documenting mysterious explorations, particularly focusing on diving into rivers with the noble aim of showing the audience how they are trying to clean up the environment. However, the channel’s success—measured by views and subscribers—had not significantly increased until an extremely surprising incident occurred in May of last year.

Specifically, while diving at a depth of 22 feet in the Willamette River in Oregon, the group unexpectedly discovered a submerged vehicle, tangled in the debris they were cleaning up. However, what was frightening was that upon approaching the car, the group quickly realized there was a body sitting in the driver’s seat. The team was terrified, called the police, and at that moment, no one could have guessed they had just helped solve a perplexing and painful case that had lasted for 12 years.

After investigation, police discovered that the victim in the car was Timothy Robinson—a man who had been missing for 12 years, specifically since November 2008 when he was just 56 years old. Throughout that time, despite their efforts, the police had still faced great difficulty in determining the cause of his disappearance until this YouTuber group inadvertently helped bring everything to light.

The YouTuber group later shared that Timothy Robinson’s relatives reached out to express their deep gratitude towards the members of the team, also sharing that they felt somewhat relieved after the mysteries of the disappearance were unraveled. In fact, since this incident, the Adventures with Purpose team has also attempted to search for other missing persons and has succeeded in several specific cases.
