This is certainly a situation that many gamers have experienced. We go through a phase of dominating the lane, crushing minions as we top lane, getting ahead in mid with spells, and stealing jungle resources… but when it comes to 4v4 or 5v5 team fights, we feel clumsy and ineffective compared to the early game.

1| You Build Items Just for the Lane
This means the items you’ve built during your laning phase have only one purpose: to make sure your opponent can’t breathe, let alone lift their head.
However, those items have no effect on the other members of the enemy team. Take a simple example: you’re a tank top lane and you encounter a pesky Teemo.
You decide to go full magic resistance so that his shots don’t hurt at all, and whenever you see him, you dive in headfirst to CC him to make him frustrated. And you know how the story goes; when the other four members of their team are all dealing physical damage, they’ll take you down in no time—what can you contribute now?
2| You Don’t Choose Angles to Engage in Fights

3| You Often Arrive Late in Major Team Fights
Just because you dominate the lane doesn’t mean the opponent will always be there for your teammates to bully. In some cases, a clever player who loses their lane can still decide to leave the tower and minions to join their teammates to create a numbers advantage.
While you’re happily farming minions, a 4v5 team fight is happening on the other side of the map, and by the time you drag yourself over, your teammates have already been counting the stars for a while.
A pivotal fight occurs, and all your lane advantages go down the drain!
4| You Have a Team Composition That Doesn’t Synergize
We often hear the term “wombo combo” referring to champions whose abilities synergize well together to create a combo with high damage and long crowd control.
If the enemy has such a wombo combo while your team does not, you’ll end up with some combat scenarios that lead straight to the death screen.
I understand you may prefer to play certain champions, but try to choose them in a way that fits your team composition a bit better.
5| Finally, and Most Frustrating: You’re the Only One Dominating the Lane!
This means aside from you, the other lanes are feeding heavily… every lane is struggling. If that’s the case, wanting to have a good team fight becomes difficult; the enemy team is too strong, and you’re bound to be ineffective.
