SEA Games 31 is the first time Free Fire has been included in the list of eSports events at this Southeast Asian Games. After a thrilling selection round with the participation of 24 top teams from Free Fire Vietnam, the 2 representatives of Free Fire at SEA Games 31 have officially been revealed. They are King Man and Team Flash.
Among them, although King Man’s lineup has not yet made a significant impact in the community, they delivered an impressive performance during the selection round by continuously earning points through kills and high rankings. This team is expected to create something special when facing other international teams at SEA Games 31.
Participating in the first eSports events at SEA Games, the team members have gathered in Hanoi since May 9 to stabilize their living conditions and begin training. In an interview with reporters, team captain TheMen (Nguyễn Văn Thắng) shared:
“The team members are aged 19-22. Normally, each member is located in different places, with each person doing different activities during the day, only training together in the evenings. Now that we’re in Hanoi, the team has more time to train, discuss, and try various strategies to choose the best options for each match.
Besides the intense training time, we also sit down to chat or go for walks to relax.”
As the competition day approaches, player TheMen also candidly admitted that he and his teammates are very excited but also a bit worried since it’s their first time participating in such a major tournament. Furthermore, at this event, King Man will also have the opportunity to compete against international representatives, with FORESIGHT being a team that the captain is particularly watching out for, as this team has a notable reputation in the Free Fire community.
As one of the two representatives from Vietnam competing for medals, the families also encourage and cheer for the players to do their best, with the goal of winning gold and bringing pride to the country.
“So far, we have prepared thoroughly up to 90%, and the remaining part depends on the mental state in real matches” – TheMen revealed.
He also hopes to receive support from a large number of Esports fans in the country so that they can “explode” in the upcoming match.
