Many sources suggest that the iPhone 9 will be assembled after tech enthusiasts finish celebrating Lunar New Year and will debut this March.
1. iPhone 9 with 3 Striking Colors
The iPhone 9 appears in 3 versions: Red, Black, and White. Although it sounds like this new iPhone has the design of the iPhone 8, there is no information about a Gold color option. The back features a single camera paired with an LED flash and the iconic Apple logo positioned in the center.
Let’s recap some other information about the iPhone 9 for those who may not know. The device boasts a 4.7-inch display with quite thick bezels, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and is equipped with a powerful A13 Bionic processor, complemented by 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
Looking at these specs, it’s clear that the iPhone 9 will continue to receive updates for the iOS operating system for many years. Sources suggest the price should be around $399 (approximately 9.2 million VND), but the important question is how much it will cost in Vietnam.
2. Familiar Design with a Fresh Twist
Of course, the design of the iPhone 9 you’re seeing in this article is just a leak, but when it’s associated with Onleaks or Slashleaks, the chances of it becoming reality are quite high. There is a type of leak that many people may not know: manufacturers often ask “well-known sources” to leak their products before launch, and the accuracy of these leaks varies.
3. iPhone 9 Design
Returning to the main topic, the iPhone 9 has a compact form factor, with relatively thick bezels, and the Touch ID fingerprint scanner is back, while it’s unclear if Face ID will make an appearance. The back is styled with the matte glass of the iPhone 11 Pro rather than the glossy finish of the iPhone 8.
The frame has been shifted to a glossy finish like that of the iPhone X and newer models. Due to its design similarity to the iPhone 8, this product does not seem likely to have many breakthroughs in design.

The iPhone 9 will feature only a single main camera, and images show that its sensor is significantly larger and thicker compared to that of the iPhone 8. This means that the camera will be greatly improved.
Next, the device will use the A13 Bionic processor, which is currently equipped in the iPhone 11 series. Other specifications have yet to be revealed, but we can predict that the RAM will start from 2GB, internal storage from 64GB, and a battery of at least 1500mAh.
5. Expected Price and Release Date
According to annual trends, March usually hosts an Apple event. Therefore, it is highly likely that the release date for the iPhone 9 along with some other products will be announced around this time, not during CES 2020 or MWC 2020.
The iPhone 9 is rumored to have a price lower by $50 (around 1.1 million VND) compared to the iPhone 8, but with the upgraded camera and processor, Apple may raise the price to $450 – $500 (approximately 10.4 – 11.5 million VND).
