Although Scarlet Witch’s magical powers in the Marvel Universe are incredibly strong, those powers could reach unimaginable levels in the DC Universe, making Wanda so powerful that even Superman could not stop her.
In the comic series JLA/Avengers by Kurt Busiek and George Pérez, the Avengers are brought to the DC Universe, where they are tasked with finding six precious items to save their universe from a threat posed by Krona. On the other hand, the Justice League must stop the Avengers from collecting these items.
In JLA/Avengers #2, Wanda initially cannot use her magic because she needs to familiarize herself and adapt to the new magical conditions in the DC Universe. However, once she figured out how to operate and the characteristics of the energy source in this universe, she found that it significantly enhanced her “Chaos Magic” compared to the conditions in the Marvel Universe.
The magic was so powerful that with just a few simple actions, Wanda could defeat all the warriors in the area affected by her magic. Even Superman and Wonder Woman admitted that this power was incredibly terrifying.

Thanks to her immense power, the Avengers gained an advantage and collected all six items. However, at this point, Superman felt something strange and was somewhat worried about how Scarlet Witch’s power would affect him personally.
As we know, Superman is one of the strongest superheroes in the DC Universe, but despite his strength, he still has weaknesses. Aside from his vulnerability to kryptonite crystals that can take him down, the man of steel’s body has no resistance to magical attacks. Therefore, a spell from Doctor Strange would have a relatively significant effect on Superman.

Therefore, Superman would be unable to resist the chaotic magic that bends reality, distorting Wanda’s existence. The control of Wanda’s chaos magic had developed to an astonishing level in the Marvel Universe, but with the power that her magic gains in the DC Universe, Wanda’s strength is Superman’s greatest weakness. Without a doubt, Wanda could easily subdue Superman and kill him if necessary.
The only weakness in using Wanda’s magic in the DC Universe is the same weakness she experienced when using it in the Marvel Universe, which is her ability to control it.
Wanda Maximoff has become one of the most beloved characters in the MCU in recent years. However, compared to the comic book original, this character is still quite mild and has been overlooked in some special superpowers, which include:
Enemy Tracking – one of Wanda’s most useful abilities in the comics is the power to track and locate anyone in any circumstance. The witch can even “scry” to recreate the surroundings of the target in an instant, no matter how far away they are.
Future Prediction – as a witch, this can be seen as a relatively basic ability of Wanda in the original Marvel comics. She has used it to see events in the future, such as the fate of Black Knight in an alternate reality, or to serve her purpose of locating her target.
Invisibility – in the comics, a form of illusion spell from Wanda allows her to become invisible from the view of others. This is a fairly basic ability of many Marvel superheroes, exemplified by Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four. What makes Wanda’s invisibility special is that she can use it on others, something she has applied to Wonder Man in the original story.
Teleportation – in the comics, the witch can move through the power of teleportation, and this ability even allows her to traverse across multiverses, similar to America Chavez. Additionally, Wanda can open portals like Strange and other sorcerers.
Nexus Being – in the original storyline, Wanda is known as a Nexus Being – a powerful entity capable of altering the flow of time. This concept first appeared in What If…? #35 (1992), and was defined by The Watcher as “super-rare entities that have the ability to influence what can happen in both reality and the future.”
In addition, Wanda Maximoff possesses several other special abilities such as gravity manipulation, creating weapons from her energy, reality manipulation, healing powers, and even the ability to summon souls…
