Recently, as the global film industry is being strongly impressed by images of Kong and Godzilla, the online community was also startled by the sudden appearance of a “strange creature” wreaking havoc in a convenience store. Although it doesn’t possess the gigantic stature of Kong or Godzilla, the size of this creature was enough to scare countless people. Specifically, a convenience store in Thailand had to welcome a rather aggressive uninvited guest, a giant monitor lizard about 1.8m long, in search of food.
Based on what the camera recorded, it seems that the goal of the monitor lizard was nothing more than to satisfy its hungry belly as it continuously lurked around, approaching the refrigerated shelves but then had to abandon its goal because it couldn’t open the doors. Eventually, seeming a bit irritated by not achieving its purpose, the picky monitor lizard climbed up onto the top of the shelf and began causing chaos with every move it made.
Shoppers at the store also had to scream in fear, but they didn’t dare to act because this species of monitor lizard could become very dangerous if it felt threatened. Quickly, the rescue team arrived in time, trying to remove it from the store but couldn’t catch it as the monitor lizard swiftly hid in the bushes and disappeared. Truly, although it couldn’t fulfill its purpose of quenching its hunger, the appearance of this giant monitor lizard made many people’s hearts race. And right after the story and video were posted and spread on social media, netizens also resorted to comparing it to the image of Godzilla.
