For women, a breakup, especially one caused by being “cheated on,” can make them feel particularly fragile, even leading to a desire for revenge that is quite “cruel.” A perfect example is the case of the young woman below.

Specifically, according to a report from Shanghaiist, the protagonist in this story is a girl with the surname Zhao, from the city of Shouguang, Shandong, China. It is known that she had been in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend. However, one day, Zhao accidentally discovered her boyfriend’s chat history and found out that he had been cheating on her for a long time, leading to a dramatic turn of events. Knowing that his secret had been uncovered, the guy hurriedly broke up with her right before May 20 – a date considered a lovers’ day in China.

Heartbroken, the girl cried for three days, but her sorrow turned into anger, especially when she saw that her ex-boyfriend seemed unaffected, enjoying life and going out with friends. Fueled by rage, Zhao decided to execute a revenge plan that left the online community in shock. She sent her ex-boyfriend 1 ton of onions and added a note stating that he should not return the shipment. Included with the onions was a note: “I’ve cried for three days, now it’s your turn to cry.”

It’s unclear how the ex-boyfriend will deal with the onions and whether he will cry, but it’s known that the delivery staff were the ones who cried first. Specifically, they had to make over 40 trips to deliver the entire ton of onions to the poor guy’s door. Based on market prices in China, this 1 ton of onions costs about 5,000 RMB, equivalent to 16 million VND – a considerable amount for Zhao’s act of “revenge.”

However, while some netizens supported her, many others argued that such actions were not worth it and that this form of revenge might not yield the expected results.
