On the afternoon of May 4th, during a meeting of the Hanoi Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee, Ms. Tran Thi Nhi Ha, Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, announced that one new positive case has been recorded, a doctor from a central hospital.
According to Ms. Ha, this suspected case is very complex, as it involves significant movement and numerous close contacts (F1) scattered across various districts, including: Dong Anh, Ba Vi, Dong Da, Tay Ho, and Hoang Mai.
“This person resides in Ba Dinh District and has been to karaoke at Moonlight Karaoke, 54 Chua Lang Street (Dong Da District) from around 10 PM to midnight on April 29th. Therefore, I urge districts to be cautious, activate their epidemic prevention teams, and trace contacts. We have also notified the healthcare system to urgently commence contact tracing,” Ms. Ha stated.
Regarding the suspected case, in a conversation with us on the evening of May 4th, Mr. Ta Nam Chien, Chairman of the Ba Dinh District People’s Committee, confirmed that they have received information about the doctor residing on Kim Ma Street who tested positive for Covid-19 after a business trip abroad. Currently, Ba Dinh District has implemented preventive measures against the epidemic.
