On social media, Quang Hải’s close friend Đức Chinh immediately caught the trend by posting a picture of them riding mini bicycles together during their time at the U22 Vietnam training camp, accompanied by the status: “Hải, turn around”.
Previously, the Executive Director of Hanoi FC, Nguyễn Quốc Tuấn, also shared a photo with Quang Hải. His status was no different from Đức Chinh’s.

Some even went to great lengths to photoshop Quang Hải into a literal “turning around” scene, like roasting a duck. This image went viral on social media.
Quang Hải later expressed his confusion: “Does anyone need a ride too? Should I just pick everyone up? Because I keep getting asked to turn around!”.

Recently, he also bought a car from a major brand, making the story even more fitting. The midfielder born in 1997 even received some confusing comments from certain accounts when he expressed his opinion that the whole country is fighting the Covid-19 pandemic while Quang Hải is buying a luxury car. This opinion faced much opposition from the majority.
The phrase “Hải, turn around” originated from a video capturing a heated argument between a couple on a street in Hanoi. The boy was allegedly “cheated on” and insisted on breaking up.
