A recent example comes from a group of gamers in China who rented out a high-end shopping mall in Shanghai just to celebrate the birthday of a beloved character.
How Do Genshin Impact Fans Invest Big?
It’s reported that this group of gamers chose a building with a massive shopping mall atrium, located in one of the most expensive cities in China. The building has four floors, and all areas were redesigned according to the concept of Furina – the Hydro Archon of Genshin Impact.
According to the storyline, the Hydro Archon Furina has her birthday on October 13. Therefore, this extravagant spending not only created a venue for interaction but also celebrated the birthday of this character. In fact, the exterior of the building was decorated with large banners and oversized LED screens showcasing images and videos of Furina for passersby to admire.
Looking at the effort put in, it’s clear how “stylish” the Furina fans, and Genshin Impact fans in general, can be. In reality, this isn’t the first time Genshin gamers have gone big like this. Recently, they also adopted and named a whale in honor of the birthday of the character Tartaglia.
