Following the eSports schedule for this year by Crossfire, the CROSSFIRE ELITE LEAGUE 2022 Season 1 (CFEL 2022 Season 1) has been officially announced. According to the publisher VTC Online, the specific phase timeline of the tournament will last from May 3 until June 12.
Specifically, the tournament will kick off the first round of the group stage from May 3 to May 26. After that, the group stage will have a return round from May 27 to June 9. In this round, teams will compete in a round-robin format over two matches (BO2).

The playoffs will take place on June 11 in a BO3 format to determine the teams that officially advance to the finals. The finals will occur on June 12 in a BO5 single-elimination format to find the third-place team and the championship contenders.

The prize structure for the teams will be a total amount of 230,000,000 VND distributed as follows:
• Champion: 100,000,000 VND
• Runner-up: 50,000,000 VND
• Third place: 30,000,000 VND
• Fourth place: 20,000,000 VND
• Fifth to sixth place: 10,000,000 VND
• Seventh to eighth place: 5,000,000 VND
Competing in CFEL 2022 Season 1 will be 8 officially qualified professional teams. Among them are the top 4 teams from the last season and 4 teams promoted from the recent semi-professional CSC 2022 Season 1. The specific list of 8 professional teams this season includes:
+ CELEB.e2L
+ LE HEROKING
+ RANKING GAMING
+ LAST LEGENDS
+ ROMBOSS CFVN
+ KING FREEDOM
+ HEROKING
+ RANKING ESPORTS

We can see that this season features two special teams, ROMBOSS CFVN and KING FREEDOM, who have impressively risen from the amateur CLAN WAR tournament, surpassing the semi-professional CSC 2022 to advance directly into the professional world of CFEL 2022 Season 1. These two teams will be noteworthy factors due to their strength, as their journey from grassroots to professional is significant. How they will perform in the most challenging battlefield of the Crossfire eSports scene will be an intriguing question that is hard to overlook.
On the other hand, looking at the team names, we can see pairs with similar names like LE HEROKING and HEROKING, LAST LEGENDS and CELEB.e2L (formerly LAST LEGENDS). This indicates the emergence of large clans aiming to become quality training grounds for professional players. This is indeed a promising sign for the Crossfire eSports scene, as it may serve as a foundational step for professional eSports organizations.
Initially, these large clans gather many talents to produce powerful generations of players. Gradually, the model will evolve into professional eSports organizations. In the eSports world, these organizations play a crucial role in both operating and developing talent, as well as generating revenue through sponsorships, advertising, and even investment in development.

However, that is a story for the future; for now, we will prepare to welcome thrilling and visually stunning Crossfire matches at the professional level. The matches starting from May 3 will be held at fixed times of 19:00 and 20:30 on match days. All will be streamed live on Crossfire’s channels, such as the Crossfire Fanpage, Crossfire TV, and CROSSFIRE VN YouTube.
