It must be admitted that dressing provocatively for livestreams is currently one of the trends that many female streamers are adopting across various platforms. However, this has led to a surprising lawsuit recently hitting Twitch – the world’s most popular livestream platform. Specifically, a viewer from California has filed a lawsuit against Twitch for $25 million (approximately 575 billion VND), claiming that the sensual images of many female streamers he frequently watches have significantly impacted his health.

According to the lawsuit, which spans 56 pages, many famous female streamers have been named and the case has been filed in court. In the complaint, the plaintiff, Erik Estavillo, claimed that he suffers from conditions such as OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), panic disorder, depression, sex addiction, agoraphobia, and Crohn’s disease due to relying too much on the Internet for entertainment. He emphasizes Twitch as the main culprit, claiming that the platform allows the images of sensual female streamers to appear excessively, even overwhelmingly, leading him to be tempted and lose control over himself.

In the lawsuit, he claims to follow 786 female streamers and can hardly “use the platform without viewing sensitive content.” Moreover, Twitch continuously suggests channels with extremely provocative avatars and thumbnails. In the list of names included in the lawsuit, fans could easily recognize beautiful figures like Alinity, Pokimane, and even Amouranth, Pink Sparles.

Specifically, Erik has demanded that Twitch permanently ban all the female streamers named in the list he submitted. Additionally, he seeks $25 million in damages to be divided equally among himself and other “victims” of Twitch, with a portion designated for charity. It’s likely that Twitch is feeling quite overwhelmed by such an unexpected lawsuit. It’s worth noting that Erik Estavillo is not a stranger to the courts, having previously filed lawsuits against many famous game companies like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Blizzard Entertainment, but has never been successful.
