Pets are an essential part of Teamfight Tactics as they represent each player in this game mode. Over time, the number of these Pets has skyrocketed from a few initial ones to many, and later Riot designed them with themes, typical examples being the Pets recently released in seasons 5 and 5.5 featuring the style of Black Mist or the Light Guardian.
In the upcoming season 6, one of the new features Riot is introducing to TFT is the Little Champions Pets. They are Pets but modeled after the chibi versions of champions from League of Legends, and these new names will include Jinx, Vi, and Ekko – names from the city of Zaun and Piltover.

Recently, Riot Mortdog posted on his personal page the prices of the TFT ticket packages and the prices of the Chibi Champions Pets. Although it is still in the price range on the PBE server (which can be adjusted), Riot has set the price for these Pets at 1900 RP. In comparison, in the North American market, this price is nearly 3 times more expensive than that of other 1-star Pets and is only 11 RP less than the price of the entire TFT ticket package plus the accompanying Pets Egg Bundle (1911 RP). And the price of 1900 RP, when compared in the North American market, is even more expensive than legendary skins like Yasuo’s Spirit Sword, Riven’s Divine Sword… (which are priced at only 1820 RP in the North American server).

Witnessing the sky-high prices for the new Pets, the international TFT community can’t help but complain. Most believe that with a price of 1900 RP for a new Chibi Champions Pet, along with a few animations, is too expensive, even though Riot Mortdog insists that this is a reasonable price for premium Pets, especially compared to the old system.

However, this price is still only in the PBE mode and Riot often surveys player opinions before releasing the official version. If a mechanism or adjustment is too heavily opposed, Riot may consider making adjustments, a typical example being the recent removal of the general chat frame system in League of Legends which was harshly criticized by the community, forcing Riot to abandon this idea.
