Recently, Facebook has rolled out a new interface update for all accounts. Although it features a “dark mode” and is not affected by “back tap,” it seems that the new Facebook interface is not favored by users. It is likely that the new desktop interface looks quite similar to the enlarged mobile version and still has many bugs, which is why it has received mixed reviews.

At the same time, Facebook users are sharing ways to install extensions that help revert to the old Facebook. One extension that is doing this very well is called Old Layout, which you can download from the Google Web Store.
If you are worried about whether this extension might cause any harm, it does not use HTML and CSS to modify the page but simply makes Facebook think you are using an old browser that does not support the new interface.

Old and new Facebook settings interface
Right below the post guiding “tricks” with Facebook to use the old interface, many users have criticized the new interface, such as:
“The new interface looks quite cramped, the things that should be large are small, and the things that should be small are large.”
“The new interface has many bugs, it’s not convenient at all, especially the photo album upload feature.”
“The new interface is visually chaotic, it looks just like on mobile.”
“The new Facebook has bugs everywhere, it’s frustrating to use.”
“I don’t know if I can get used to the new interface, but right now, it’s very uncomfortable.”
“The new interface causes font errors in Messenger when chatting from the computer; every time I type a long message for work, I have to pull out my phone to type. It’s so annoying.”
“The old interface feels faster than the new one.”
“I really hate the new interface.”
“Facebook asked for user feedback on the new interface update, but do they care about what we like?”
Currently, Facebook has switched all accounts to the new interface, and it seems to be experiencing minor issues like font errors and lag… but hopefully, these problems will gradually improve.
